Renovate & rationalise a large 1960's chalet style house which had lost its mid century charm. The original layout had been altered making the house feel dark and uninviting. By opening up the kitchen and dining room a large light filled space was created, adding french doors onto the garden was an obvious addition to make. Dated tiled flooring has been replaced with a reclaimed maple floor throughout most of the ground floor and the original hardwood parquet has been renovated. Part of the garage has been converted into a large utility room and walk in pantry.  Upstairs, by joining the dormers together there is now a large airy landing which doubles as a reading area, a large bathroom, dressing room and en-suite.
